Can I adopt an animal other than a dog or a cat through Pets For the Elderly?

No. Pets For the Elderly provides financial support to animal shelters for the adoption of companion pets, cats and dogs only.

I have a pet that I would like to donate.
Does Pets For the Elderly accept unwanted dogs and cats?

No. We provide financial support for adoption programs with participating shelters. We do not have the facilities to take in unwanted animals.

I would like to volunteer for your organization. How can I get involved?

We do not utilize volunteers. Many of the animal shelters around the United States are in need of volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for one that uses the Pets For the Elderly program, please refer to the Participating Shelters page.
