2022 One-Time Grant Applications

Do you know of an animal shelter in your area that is in need of funds? We’re happy to announce that we will be awarding one-time grants up to $10,000 to eligible 501(c) U.S. shelters and their “friends of” organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation.

The eligible shelters, including those that are currently part of the Pets for the Elderly network, can apply for funding to help older adopters (60+) or older pet owners who use services through that shelter.

Applicants for the new one-time grant are allowed to apply for one of two services: either to reduce the cost of adoption for older adults, or to provide veterinarian / dental care for a pet owned by an older adult. The one-time grant will be for various amounts from $5,000 to $10,000, and can be applied for using a simple two page form (download below).

Recipients will be asked to show how the funding was used (stories, photos, etc.) and encouraged to share on social media as well. Additionally, they may be considered for permanent addition to the Pets for the Elderly program. If you know of a shelter or “friends of” organization in need, please pass along this information.

The deadline for applications is November 04, 2022. Any applications received after this date will not be considered.
